Born and raised in Cape Town, Ryan discovered the saxophone as a teenager and never looked back. What began as a childhood fascination with sound became a lifelong pursuit of musical excellence, emotional storytelling, and an unshakeable belief that music has the power to transform any room it enters.

His style defies categorisation. In one performance you'll hear the warmth of smooth jazz, the rhythmic pulse of Afro-soul, and the effortless elegance of contemporary R&B — all woven together in real time, in response to the energy of the room. Whatever the event demands, Ryan delivers it.

Ryan has shared stages with some of South Africa's finest — Shakatak at Grand West Arena, Jimmy Nevis at the iHeart Festival, alongside Idols SA winner Karin Kortje, The Voice SA winner Craig Lucas, and many more. His presence on stage is unmistakable: a combination of technical precision and raw, infectious joy.

Beyond performance, Ryan is a passionate educator. He believes deeply in passing on the gift of music — working 1-on-1 with students of all levels and developing an online course that will make world-class saxophone tuition accessible to anyone, anywhere.
